Surgery (day surgery under general anaesthetic)

Surgery is performed under general anaesthetic at a day surgery facility. Four titanium implants are placed in each arch being treated, angled to maximise contact with available bone — which means most patients don't need bone grafts. Some Medicare rebates may apply to the surgical component.

Immediate provisional teeth

You leave the same day with a fixed temporary arch. A soft diet is recommended during the 3–6 month healing period whilst the implants integrate with the bone.

Final restoration

Once healing is complete, a permanent custom-made bridge is fitted — the final result of your All-on-4 treatment.
