On-site Dental Prosthetist

Ahmed Saoud, our Dental Prosthetist, works directly from our Wyndham practice. His background in both dental technology and prosthetics means he can design dentures that look natural and work well day-to-day.

Because Ahmed is on-site, your dentures are designed, fitted, and adjusted here, with no need to travel to a separate clinic. He and your dentist work together, so your dentures are built around your overall oral health and any remaining natural teeth, not just the gaps.

Full dentures

Full dentures replace all teeth in the upper arch, lower arch, or both. We offer two approaches:

Conventional full dentures are fitted once the gums have fully healed after extractions, typically 8–12 weeks later
Immediate dentures are placed on the same day as your extractions, so you leave the practice with teeth; these are adjusted as your gums heal

Full dentures are made from high-quality materials selected to match your skin tone and facial structure. Multiple appointments are included to get the fit and comfort right.

Partial dentures

If you still have some natural teeth, a partial denture fills the gaps. The main options are:

Acrylic partial dentures, which are affordable and can be adjusted as your mouth changes
Cobalt-chrome (metal framework) dentures, which are thinner, stronger, and more durable, making them the preferred choice for long-term partial denture wearers
Flexible resin dentures, a comfortable interim option

Implant-retained dentures

For patients who want a denture that stays firmly in place, implant-retained dentures are anchored directly to dental implants. Slippage is virtually eliminated, and most patients find they can eat with much more confidence.

Caring for your dentures

Your prosthetist will walk you through aftercare at your fitting. The basics:

Remove and rinse dentures after every meal
Brush them daily with a soft denture brush and a non-abrasive cleaner
Soak them overnight in water or a denture-soaking solution
Keep up with regular check-ups, because your gums and any remaining teeth still need monitoring
Plan to replace dentures every five to seven years, as your jaw shape changes gradually over time
