Dental Check-Ups and Examinations

A comprehensive dental check-up at Core Dental includes examination of your teeth, gums, soft tissues, bite, and a screening for oral cancer. Check-ups are recommended every six months to identify and manage issues before they become more serious. Digital X-rays and intraoral camera images are taken as clinically appropriate to provide a complete picture of your oral health.

No-Gap Check-Up and Clean is available for new patients with eligible private health insurance - covering examination, X-rays, OPG, photos, oral cancer screening, and scale and clean at zero out-of-pocket cost.

Scale and Clean (Dental Hygiene)

Professional removal of plaque and calculus (tartar) above and below the gum line, followed by polishing and fluoride treatment. At Core Dental, scale and clean appointments are performed by qualified dental hygienists and therapists with Bachelor or Advanced Diploma qualifications in oral health. Regular cleans every six months significantly reduce the risk of gum disease and tooth decay.

Fillings and Restorations

Core Dental uses tooth-coloured composite resin as standard for fillings - natural-looking restorations that require minimal removal of healthy tooth structure. Root Canal Therapy

Zoom! In-Chair Whitening - Professional in-chair whitening using the Philips Zoom! WhiteSpeed LED lamp system. Appointments take approximately 90 minutes and can achieve up to 8 shades of whitening in a single session. Available at most Core Dental locations.

Take-Home Whitening - Custom-fitted trays and professional-grade whitening gel (Pola Day or Pola Night) allow patients to whiten at their own pace over 1-2 weeks. Available at all locations.

Whitening requires a dental assessment first. Results are not permanent and maintenance whitening is recommended periodically.

Composite Veneers

Composite resin bonded directly to the tooth surface in a single appointment to change shape, colour, and spacing. Minimal or no tooth preparation required. Suitable for patients seeking a significant improvement without the commitment of porcelain veneers. More affordable short-term; lifespan typically 3-7 years.

Porcelain Veneers

Invisalign uses a series of custom-made clear aligners to straighten teeth gradually. Treatment begins with a digital scan using the iTero intraoral scanner - no messy physical impressions. A ClinCheck digital simulation shows the anticipated treatment outcome before committing. Aligners must be worn 22 hours per day and are removed for eating and brushing.

Invisalign Teen
